First tasting resulted in Best Night Ever for The Drinkery

Moonlight Meadery had it's first tasting at The Drinkery in Londonderry NH on July 31, 2010

This was a great way to conclude our first month of sales.  The event started promptly at 6:00PM with my one of my first friends (way back from Kindergarden) showing up to taste my meads, and purchasing two bottles.  It was great to talk with Ken and pour him the first samples,  I don't think I have seen Ken in at least 16 years (last high school reunion).

Invitation to our first public tasting of meads

We are happy to announce that tomorrow, 7/31/10 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, The Drinkery will be hosting our first public tastings.

Basic Permit from Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB)

It's official, today April 6th 2010, Moonlight Meadery LLC is approved by the federal government.

TTB interview went very well

I was very impressed with the TTB Specialist from Wine Group 1, she was very helpful and easy to talk with. I think I now have all the right paperwork submitted, and hope to hear very soon about my application.

White Birch Brewing Collaboration Series "Moonlight" gets label approval!

Bill Herlicka gave me the good news the beer that I guest brewed over at White Birch has obtained approval from the Alcohol Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB).

Discussions are underway about when and where this "ale brewed with honey" will be released.

Application sent off to the federal government

Today was a major next step for the winery... the paperwork has been sent off to the federal government for approval.

While it took longer than I originally thought, I was inspired to trust my instinct and get it done.
